Also out looking today, along the Patuxent:

At the Benedict Bridge on the Patuxent River I watched from 12-12:35 pm in a driving rain (you could barely see across the river), and had 1 Royal Tern, with 3 Caspian and 5 Forster's terns, a DC Cormorant, and 17 Laughing Gulls. I also looked at Jug Bay from 10:30-11:00 am (no rain to very light drizzle), and from 1:15-1:50 pm (variable rain, at times very heavy) and saw 2 Black, 5-6 Forster's, and 1 Caspian Tern. The Black terns were heading up the river, and passed here at about 1:45. I've had Black Terns in Prince Georges before, but it is a new species for my "yard list"!

I doubt any birds I saw are really "Storm" birds, but the Royal and Blacks are very uncommon here. Still looking, out a window now, until tomorrow probably.

Stay safe-
