The Little Patuxtent River guage at Savage had the river height at 15.05 feet at 14:15 EST - and rising. That means that water from the river has roared down the outlet channel back into the lake. Mostly the only vegetation being seen now on the lake is the tops of the cattails.

Jay Sheppard is standing over on Big Pool Bluff observing everything that has been hiding in the vegetation and has:

3 sora

1 least bittern

zillion swifts

Although the weather isn't the most inviting, it still provides opportunities to get some good birds!
