Fascinating how their range is so clear cut.  I'm sure it is no coincidence that the boundary of the coastal plain is basically cuts through DC and Montgomery Co. is on the Piedmont Side.  It isn't too obvious to us as we drive around, but to them it is seems to be a bright line...

Just wanted to put the word out that I had a flyby laughing gull from my south-facing 4th floor office this morning in Chevy Chase. The bird was headed southeast and would have crossed over rock creek park moments later. While an easy bird for you DC folk, this is my first on the montgomery side of the line.
