It was a good morning for warblers around Lake Needwood this morning.
I saw 9 warbler species, including a pair of Blue-winged warblers, a
Blackburnian and a Nashville. Most of the activity was in the thicket
areas about a quarter mile SE of Needwood Mansion adjacent to the golf
course where there were many yellow flowered plants. In addition,
there was a Rose-breasted Grosbeak (my first for the year) eating
berries in the trees. The lake is quite high, though about 4 feet
lower than it's peak earlier this week. The full eBird list is below.
