Hubby and I walked the Serpentine trail at Soldiers Delight this morning. MY best sighting would be seeing a kettle of hawks. My first time seeing a kettle, very cool. There had to be at 50 or more in the kettle. I am guessing they were the broad wing hawks. Pretty sure this is my first time seeing the Broad Wing hawks. I wish one was in a near by tree for a closer look though.

Can someone verify if these are the BroadWings?

You can click on the hawk photo and make it larger in size for better viewing.

I did see one hawk kind of far away on a tree possibly a Coopers Hawk. But seeing the kettle was exciting for me. Other birds seen Crows, Bluejays, Turkey Vultures, Eastern Phoebe, Chickadees, Cardinals, WB NUthatch and heard what I believe was a House Wren.
