Decided to take the long way home today and check out Hains Point, and
although there was little going on waterbird-wise, there was quite a
bit of warbler activity, most notably a total of 19 Palm Warblers,
incl. a flock of 15 out on the point. Of the ones I could id to race,
only one was a Yellow, to go with 11 Westerns. Also had two Yellow
Warblers and a few others.

I also decided to stop by McMillan Reservoir to see if Jason Berry's
trio of interesting birds were still around, and sure enough all were
still present: Ring-necked Duck, paling around with the Ruddy, and the
Lesser Black-backed Gull on the buoy line, offering nice views of
yellow legs and size comparisons with Herrings. Also had a nice big
(prob female) imm. Cooper's Hawk zip over the reservoir. Not a bad
commute home! Full lists below.
