Decided to take advantage of the afternoon break in the clouds and
stopped by the Nature Center on my way home this evening. Pretty slow
in general, but did have nice looks at a Gray-cheeked Thrush. Bird was
along West Ridge Trail, just after crossing the road, coming from
Maintenance Yard parking area. It was down in the gully on the west
side of the trail between the two "No Horses Allowed" foot trails.
This little gully has been a good spot for Catharus thrushes in
general for me this fall, as they often mix in with the perpetual AMRO
flock in the area.
