Bill,
In my database this is the second highest fall count of Knots for
Maryland following 112 at West Ocean City on Aug. 15, 1964. Highs in recent
decades have been 50 at Ocean City on Sept. 16, 1989 and 50 on Assateague on
Oct. 12, 2002. With so few trips to the coast it's a matter of being in the
right place at the right time to see a large number of Knots. I'm sure it
was a thrilling sight.
