The highlight from my lunchtime walk around Schoolhouse Pond was a 1st winter Chestnut-sided Warbler, 2 Northern Parula, an American Redstart, and a Common Yellowthroat. Overhead was an adult Bald Eagle and a fairly steady stream of gulls heading towards the landfill. Totals were 399 Laughing Gulls and one Ring-billed Gull. I looked at the flyovers pretty closely, but saw no unusual gulls. These were the first big numbers I've seen here this fall. Hopefully groups will be resting on the pond in the coming weeks.
