Thanks for the info Bob!
I checked for the Phalarope again this eve (Oct 5) but had no luck. On my way in I ran into Fred S, who mentioned he had been there a long while and had no luck. The best birds of note while I was there this eve were a Merln and a large flock (73+; FOS) of Northern Pintails. I think there were more than what I could see (73); the flock stretched around the bend and out of sight from my view (from the observation deck below Jackson Landing).
I left there at 6:50 and then went to Mt Calvert to briefly try for the Ammodramus I saw earlier today, but had no luck with that either. No surprise, eh! I did see two FOS Savannah Sparrows, and a mix of some of the common species that I reported earlier there today.
Cheers!
