Morning all,
I did a short abbreviated walk in the yard this morning as I have to leave shortly for work. I didn't even see that many birds, but the few I saw were great! Had my 1st record (for the yard) LINCOLN'S SPARROW, which popped into view about 15 feet away in the back weedy "hedgerow" between our fence and the neighboring field. It sat there perched, erected it little crown and stared at me for perhaps 30 seconds before it jumped back down. It stayed in the area though, moving along the weeds and popping into view, but not long enough for me to get any decent phone camera pics. While watching for this bird again, I saw (and got a quick pic of) my 2nd record Brown Creeper, and this was followed shortly by a House Wren (though I was hoping for a Winter Wren, which would've been a new species as well).

Lots of Canada Geese flying over in flocks, lots of Blue Jays ditto, and still have loads of Chipping Sparrows too. Yesterday brought another Blue-headed Vireo and a Blackpoll. Also had several Sharpies and an American Kestrel, and a single falcon sp.

Lincoln's Sparrow #140!!

Love migration!
