Subject: Poplar Island Sightings from October 10, 2011

       This report is submitted on behalf of Jan Reese of Talbot County, who
continues to periodically survey the flora and fauna of the Paul Sarbanes
Ecosystem Restoration Project at Poplar Island.
       The summary of bird observations that follows was taken by permission
from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and MD Port Administration, October
2011, Fauna Monitoring Report for the Paul S. Sarbanes Ecosystem Restoration
Project at Poplar Island.
	Highlights include over 5000 surface feeding ducks, a batch of
warblers, Blue-winged Teal, Greater Yellowlegs, Kingfisher, Chimney Swift,
Phoebe, Golden-crowned Kinglet, Ruddy Turnstone and White-rumped Sandpiper.
