As Matt mentioned, the bird never showed itself any higher than about three feet off the ground, which made photographing it all but impossible through all of the scrubby undergrowth. I did get pretty decent looks through the binoculars though, and managed a couple really fuzzy (semi-headless) shots of the bird. Matt showed me his video on the camera, and the bird showed much better than in my photos. As he mentioned to me on the way in, the bird's bright yellow flanks would indicate one of the eastern population. Even in my fuzzy photos, you can see the yellow flanks, blue feet, pale bill, and single bright white wing bar. It was eating a green worm of some kind, flogging it against a twig, when I first spotted it. I watched the bird move back and forth through the scrub for just over ten minutes...last saw it directly in front of the concrete slab, maybe fifteen feet back, just before 12:30. Thanks Matt and Kim. The documentation photos (for what they're worth) can be seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/27381338@N03/6254993780/in/photostream
