Hi All,

McMillan Reservoir was harder to bird today as the ducks have been sheltering out of the wind on the far south east shore, but still had some good action.  for some reason there were far fewer gulls than usual - maybe the large Herring gull flock kept migrating?

Best bird was FOS AMERICAN COOT (3)!

Here's the eBird list:

10 species

Mallard  2
Ring-necked Duck  10      far southeast side of reservoir to keep out of wind.
Ruddy Duck  1     probably continuing male. staying by far southeast side of reservoir to keep out of wind.
Pied-billed Grebe  1     close to southwest shore
Horned Grebe  1     close to western shore
American Coot  3     far southeast side of reservoir to keep out of wind.
Ring-billed Gull  15
Herring Gull  15
Lesser Black-backed Gull  1     At a distance separated by yellow legs when hopped up on floating buoy.
Great Black-backed Gull  1

Good birding!
