Re: no mallards on Potomac at Great Falls sunday

There are a couple of possibilities:(1) There was an early
duck hunting season from 10-15 to 10-22 which may have made
the birds spooky and (2) when I was at Sycamore Landing 
on Friday the river was high and dirty: conditions which
I find at times are not good for finding ducks there.
