Hi Folks,

The Anne Arundel Bird Club had a bird walk at the Swan Creek/Cox Creek
facility (northern Anne Arundel Co.) this morning. Highlights included
THREE flyover PEREGRINE FALCONS, together, down at the wetlands, likely an
adult pair and an immature. An immature LITTLE BLUE HERON is getting late
in the season, and a VIRGINIA RAIL responded to clapping, always a nice
find. Among ten species of duck were two continuing female REDHEADs, and a
continuing male CANVASBACK. Quite a few PIPITs were in evidence around the
dredge cells, and the only non-Killdeer shorebird was a sleeping
DUNLIN, one of several great spots made by Dave Gillum. The windy
conditions kept the passerine numbers low, but we still managed 49 species
during our three-hour outing.
