Hi all,
The Kent County Bird Club will have a trip to various waterfowl venues
in the county including several public landings in search of ducks and
geese on Sunday, November 20. Waterfowl numbers seem to have been
building only slowly this autumn, but we'll see what we can find. Geese
have become numerous including sightings of Greater White-fronted Goose
and Cackling Goose. Dabblers are also numerous, but good numbers of Bay
Ducks and Sea Ducks have yet to materialize. Perhaps this will be the
weekend. We also hope to find some of the swans that have been reported.
We will meet folks in the parking lot of the Dollar General store
between Washington Ave (MD-213) and Philosopher's Terrace in Chestertown
at 8:00 AM. We expect this to be a little over a half day's outing. At
this point, Sunday is slated to be mostly cloudy with fairly mild
temperatures.Wear layers and bring a snack. We hope to see you on Sunday
morning.
Good birding,
