Someone had to look for the warbler this morning, so John Dennehy and I arrived at the location around 6:30am. With barely enough light to see, the first birds we observed were two SHARP-SHINNED HAWKS.  We tallied 34 species, but no Black-throated Gray Warbler. On a pass later in the morning we saw a MERLIN.

We both needed county birds, so we made a few stops. We were pleased to find three RUSTY BLACKBIRDS at Pemberton Park in a flock which was otherwise mostly Red-winged Blackbirds.
