Happy Thanksgiving everyone,

I woke up early this morning and headed down to Tilghman Island.
There were many goose and sea duck hunters in the fields and in the
bay which probably caused the waterfowl numbers to be way down. The
tide was extremely low. Highlights include:

Black Scoter -- 1 female resting on the water near the riprap at Black
Walnut Pt.
Surf Scoter -- 36 birds in one flock flying south
Great Cormorant -- 2 adult birds sitting on the north pound nets
Brown Pelican -- 3 birds flying south down the bay
Horned Grebe -- 1
Red-throated Loon -- 1 bird flying south down the bay
Black-bellied Plover -- 6 birds feeding on the flats at Tilghman Back Creek Park
Killdeer -- 48 birds feeding on the flats at Tilghman Back Creek Park
Dunlin -- 31 birds feeding on the flats at Loews Wharf
Forster's Tern -- 3 birds sitting on the pound nets
Rusty Blackbird -- a flock of 56 birds feeding on the side of Rt 33
just past the McDaniel town sign
