I was at Pt. Lookout from about 10:30am-1:45pm - no sightings.

I drove to the end, walked around the picnic area (twice), went to the pond - saw no swallows, cave or otherwise.

The gate at the campgrounds is closed and a code is needed to open it. There's a sign that says for campers to go to the headquarters building as no one was in the building at the campgrounds. I'm guessing the headquarters buidling is the one to the right as you enter the park - so if you want to drive in to bird the campgrounds, you might think of stopping there on your way in.
