I arrived at Bullfrog Rd at 4:00 pm today. Saw two Northern Harriers and
briefly saw a Short-eared Owl at 4:15 pm. By 5:00 pm there were about 12
people there and two Short-eared Owls flew, along the hilltop of the field,
on the east side of Bullfrog Rd. There was a young man, I think his name is
Dylan, who has excellent eye sight and kept finding the owls for the adults
who had optics.
At 2:00 pm I was at Piney Run Park and had 31 Bonaparte's Gulls in a flock
of 136 ring-billed Gulls. By 3:10 pm most of the Boanparte's had flown east
toward the dam end.

Subject: [MDOSPREY] Short-eared Owls near Taneytown, Carroll County
To:
Around 5 PM today (12/9) there were 3 Short-eared Owls and a
female/immature Northern Harrier hunting over a large field on the east
side of Bullfrog Road, around 1/4 mile north of Baumgardner Road. This is
west of Taneytown in Carroll County.
