Jim is correct that where I saw the shrike was not easily visible from
community center parking lot. I may have been mistaken in street name. I
followed Bill Hubick's initial post, entered the circle, and exited on
opposite side into the community center parking lot. A scan and short
clomp around produced nothing but a handful of House Finches and one
American Goldfinch. I exited the parking lot and took the next right,
Hagers Crossing, and proceeded, scanning the undeveloped field on the
right. The road goes down hill, and at the point it levels out, there is
an as yet undeveloped right turn, which is paved. It was at that point
where I saw the bird, in a small thorn tree. Directly in front of that
pull out is a large mound of dirt with small trees growing on it. I guess
I inflated the volume when I said hill.

In short, it's still out there. Check behind the community center, and
then cruise Hagers Crossing. I had it within 10 yards of the road, and
was able to conveniently pull off.
