Greetings,
The December meeting of the Kent County Bird Club will be Tuesday,
December 13, at Heron Point in Chestertown. Our program will be
presented by Dr. Wayne Bell, emeritus professor from Washington College
and past president of the Maryland Ornithological Society. His program
is titled "An Ecologist Visits Peru" and provides a tour of the diverse
habitats, birds and other wildlife found from the Pacific to the Amazon
in this South American country. We hope you can join us for the meeting
and light refreshments afterwards.
Our meetings begin at 7:30 PM in Wesley Hall, in the Heron Point
community at the end of East Campus Ave in Chestertown. East Campus Ave
is the light on Washington Ave (MD-213) at the south edge of the
Washington College campus. If headed north, turn right, if headed south,
turn left off of Washington Ave. Follow East Campus Ave to the Heron
Point community and bear right on Sassafras Dr, continuing to the large
parking lot at the end. Wesley Hall is upstairs in the building on your
right as you enter the parking area; enter through the large portico.
For those who have not yet sent in your membership for 2011-2012,
remember that a portion of those fees go to support our monthly program
offerings. You can pick up a membership form at the meeting or request
one via e-mail.
Thank you,
