The Snowy Owl on the Power Pole was along Elliot Island Road in Dorchester
County several years ago.   I remember it well because my wife Carolyn and I
were the first to have happened by after it arrived.  It was so tired and
hungry that it stayed right close to that pole for several days, giving
great shots for many of the photographers of the region, including Arlene.

If I remember correctly, Arlene Ripley once posted a very striking
photo of a Snowy Owl perched on top of a telephone pole, somewhere on
Maryland's Eastern Shore.
