Hi all,

I spent some time on both sides of the Susquehanna this morning-notables were five American Tree Sparrows at Swan Harbor (no Le Conte's) and a bright male Pine Warbler in Perryville. My question has to do with the location where I found the Pine Warbler-I want to make sure I'm not trespassing on Perry Point VA Hospital's property. As you drive past the entry gate to Perryville Community Park and head straight along the drive, you come to the hard left that takes you back into the park. At that spot, there's a concrete wall and gate, behind which is the head of a trail/path that goes off to the right (roughly north). There are bright blue blazes on several trees. I'd never been back there before, so my curiosity got the best of me and I pulled off on the grass and took a walk. I guess this would run along the northeast edge of what I assume is Perry Point property. I've never read any posts about this trail. I know the Mason-Dixon Trail system starts and stops a bunch of places along the Rte. 40 corridor, so I'm guessing this is (was?) part of that system. Anybody know if this is public access property? I know a lot of the Mason-Dixon Trail system runs through private property where the property owners have granted an easement for public access. It's a nice walk with some good winter sparrow habitat. I just don't want to get arrested...or shot.

The bird was back along that trail about 1/4 mile.
