I stopped by Swan Harbor again this morning. As with yesterday, it was cold and windy, and the wind was really keeping bird activity to a minimum. I met up with some other birders there who were looking for the Le Conte's and had not had any luck. We did not have any luck locating the bird. I did hear that an American Tree Sparrow had been seen before I arrived, but I did not see the bird.

Numbers of ducks at the new impoundments were significantly lower than what I saw yesterday, especially Redhead (37 yesterday, 9 today) and Gadwall (18 yesterday, 0 today). There were also 24 Mallard, 1 female Bufflehead, 1 female Ring-necked Duck, and 2 coot. A Cooper's Hawk was perched on the silo, offering excellent views.

Earlier, I had stopped by the pond on Club House Rd, which had a decent-sized raft of Northern Shoveler (19), as well as a lone male Gadwall.
