On the DC Christmas Bird Count today, a team of seven headed by Bob
Klarquist carefully sifted through the whole Hains Point area south of the
golf course - and returned later for a second try - but was not able to
locate the Dickcissel.

They did, however, get a Peregrine Falcon, 2 Merlins, and 8 Black-crowned
Night Herons.
