I was part of the team of 5 observers that birded Kenilworth Aquatic
Gardens Saturday morning for the Washington DC CBC. Some highlights were 3
FOX SPARROWS seen along the River Trail, and an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER seen
from the boardwalk between the two observing platforms.

Four observers continued on to bird along the ball fields and the Anacostia
River at Kenilworth Park. The highlights of this observation were a
KESTREL seen perched in a tree in the second parking lot, and a MERLIN seen
perched in the top of a tree across the river in the Arboretum. The
domestic Graylag Goose and Graylag-Canada hybrid continued with the
Kenilworth Park resident Canada Goose flock as they have for several months
now.

Good birding,
