I was at Swan Harbor for a few hours this morning. It was very windy, which unfortunately kept the bird activity pretty low. In particular, the sparrows were pretty low key today. There were modest numbers of Swamp and Song, as well as a few Savannah, but nothing more exciting than that. The Le Conte's was a no show.

Waterfowl were slightly better. The new impoundments had 2 Goldeneye, 25 Mallard, 18 Gadwall, 1 Bufflehead, and an amazing number of Redhead --- I counted 37.

A brief stop at the Leight Center on the way home yielded Hermit Thrush, as well as a small group of ducks (4 Hooded Merganser, 1 Ruddy Duck) on the Bush River.
