After going to Loudon Park Cemetery to lay a wreath on a grave, Tom and I did a quick stop behind the Giant Food on Wilkins Avenue to look at the Charlestown Retirement Community Pond figuring it would be our quick little birding fix on a busy day.  
The highlight was a juvenile Black-Crowned Night Heron in a tree behind the little island keeping company near a Great Blue Heron.  I have not seen one of these in Baltimore in December before so I was quite surprised.  Other nice birds were a Redhead duck and a kingfisher.
