If you look at eBird data for Rock Pigeon, or in this case, Bridge Falcon, you'll see a concentration at the bridge. Unfortunately, the personal location that I use, for the St. Mary's side of the bridge, is buried under several others which would show a better spread of occurrence as I see them there several times a month. If you really want to see them for your St. Mary's list and don't want to wait until Christmas Eve Eve the year before Leap Year as is the case with Bill, just drive under the bridge on N. Patuxent Beach Road and your chances are about 50/50.

If you want to find the ever diminishing population of House Sparrows for your St. Mary's list, Lowe's is a good place! You can often find them inside the store in the garden section where the broken bags of bird seed are. If you whiff there, Food Lion should be your next stop ;)

As we approached the Solomons bridge on Route 4, two ROCK PIGEONs flew by on the St. Mary's side. Rock Pigeons are local in St. Mary's, Calvert, and Charles Counties. Checking my eBird Rock Pigeon records for the county, running my fingers through the gold, I have amassed 11 sightings. I have one previous sighting from the bridge from 23 Dec 2007. So, now you know what to do next year on this date. If you don't get them, try again in 2015.

Good birding!
