Four Short-eared Owls were hunting over the large field along Bullfrog Road between Roop and Baumgardner Roads in NW Carroll County. A female/juvenile Northern Harrier was also present.  A juvenile white Snow Goose was in a flock of Canada Geese at the big farm pond along Toms Creek Church Road south of Route 140 and Bollinger School Road in Frederick County.  Also at the pond were a flock of Black Ducks and several American Pipits. Two adult Red-headed Woodpeckers were in the trees along the road near the pond.
