After good fortune with the Barrow's Goldeneye yesterday, I drove to Burkittsville to look for the Ross's Goose. My good fortune continued as one lone Ross's remained. I observed the goose around 11am and he was along the opposite bank when scoping from Route 17 north of the pond. I also scoped from Route 17 briefly north of the driveways as well. There were two other birders there as well, but I did not get their names.

So far, so good this year. Three days in, two lifers... In Maryland no less. If only it were possible to continue this pace :)
