I was not asking MOS or any bird club to get involved with this...........it was just a question about whether anyone had experience with this. Thanks to all for their comments.

Hi Karen:
My feeling is that this would be a good issue for the MOS to stay out of since these are not wild birds. Just like we don't get into issues dealing with pet/caged birds. Since they do mostly all do go home, they really don't seem to impact our native avifauna.
Just my $.02 but I don't want to start a debate about this ...

Supposedly the birds all fly home - no fuss, no mess. Right not, the City does not approve of such releases.........but they are willing to look at the issue and maybe come up with a policy for this. Any comments? Suggestions? Experience with such activities? Karen Morley kdmorley at yahoo dot com
