I found the Shrike where Ed Boyd had reported it previously on 1/3/12.

As he said, west of the shopping cntr off of US40, where Garland Groh Blvd and Hagers Crossing Dr intersect at the traffic circle follow the circle around until you are heading west on  Hagers Crossing Dr.  I drove to where the road came to an end and just turned around parking beside the green hydrant so the drivers side window was facing the huge dirt mound.  With naked eye, i found nothing.  With my 7x car stash bins i scanned the mound and quickly found the shrike.  There is a large sapling on the near side middle area of the mound.  On the far side of the mound directly behind this was a smaller sapling where the shrike was perched.  I observed it from 3:10 to 3:23.  Later in the observation period the shrike had moved to some lower branches and the facial mask was no longer visible.  In the area was a Red tailed hawk - scan the snags around the fields.  Also heard were goldfinches.  A mocker was present in a sapling near the other
large dirt mound behind the community center - north from the traffic circle.

For the record, although i could make out the face mask with my low power bins, i couldn't make out any other field marks.

Thanks Ed!
