Today, Jeff Culler, Walter Ellison, and I birded Kent County. It started
with an idea of mine to get a Ring-necked Pheasant at Chesapeake Farms.
Walter let me know that these are released birds so I am glad I didn't see
one because it isn't countable, yet. I still thank the pheasants for having
us in position for a great bird later in the day.

The highlights, with links to the complete checklists, were:
St. Pauls Millpond - Wood Duck 2

Eastern Neck NWR
Gadwall 220, Redhead 2, Scaup sp. 8000 (probable Lesser's but in terrible
light), Red-headed Woodpecker 1

BARNACLE GOOSE 1 - Awesome find by Dan Small and Maren Gimpel

Buckingham Public Landing
Cackling Goose 1
Canada Goose 2500+
Common Merganser 7 (total includes Kent & Queen Anne's)
This is where we believe the Barnacle Goose flew to.
