This morning I had time some time to watch my yardbirds. After putting out some BOSS and some peanuts , fresh water and I put out a new suet cake. I went in the house to watch my yardbirds from the comfort of my warm dinning room.

I had the usual backyard visitors and was happy to see the Male Pine Warbler still sticking around. Other common visitors were the Juncos, WT Sparrows, Titmouse, Chickadee, Cardinals, lots of Bluejays going after the peanuts, Wb Nuthatch, Downy Woodpecker, Redbellied Woodpecker, Mourning Doves, a couple of annoying starlings found my new suet cake almost immediately. I also saw a juvenile eagle flying over the yard. I am still missing the Red breasted Nuthatch, are any being seen in Maryland?

I have been seeing amazing numbers of Turkey Vultures and Black vultures going in and out the woods next to my house. Every morning like clockwork they leave and every evening around the same times they come back.

Next was a cool sighting of a beautiful white falcon, of all things it was on a man's arm standing next to Falls RD near Hoffmanville RD. I was in my car riding past when I saw this huge white bird, at first I thought it was a snowy owl and then it turn its head and I saw that it was the falcon. OMG, What a beautiful bird. The man told me he has a falconry was out hunting? This is the first I have heard of using a falcon to hunt. I believe the bird got away from the man hunting and he had to go and find it? I am not positive. I started to leave but turned back to see if I could take a photo with my phone but he had already put the bird in his truck.

Well that's all for now,
Happy Birding,
Eileen
