For the last 3 days there have been 3 Snow Geese (2 ad, 1 imm.) with Canada
Geese by Rosemont Avenue in Frederick. The previous two days I saw the "white
blobs" in the flock as I drove by and assumed they were the white farmyard
geese that often consort with canadas there. However, last night I saw 3
Snow/Ross's Geese fly over my house (2 miles away) with Canada Geese, and
putting two and two together checked the Canada Goose flock on Rosemont this
morning. I was a little disappointed that they weren't Ross's as I was out of
the county when the Kershner's Pond birds were around, I rather hoped it might
be the Kershner's birds relocated. Oh well, can't be too greedy, Snow Goose was
a nice #127 for my yard list, and not an easy bird to see in Frederick County.

The birds were by Rocky Springs Cemetery (39.439971,-77.440481).

cheers
