Tundra Swans near Kershner's Pond on 1-15-12

That is, i believe that's what i observed this moring around 1045 in a field NE of the pond.  They were simply too large to have been anything else - total was appx 30 to 40.  The field was best observed from the dog-leg of MD 17 north of the pond.  When i returned from my visit to the Bavarian Inn of Shepherdstown WVA [nice Sunday brunch BTW] at appx 1500, the birds were nowhere to be seen.  There were lots of C geese on the pond and a flock of starlings supplemented by a 1/2 dozen E Bluebirds in the field stubble looking back (S) to the pond...nothing else of note could be observed with my car stash 7x bins :(
