Today there were 13,000 Snow Geese at Hurlock WWTP in Dorchester County. We
found 8 geese with collars that we could read.

PC13 banded 8/2007 Bylot Island; PA42 banded 8/2003 Bylot Island; RR42
banded 8/2010 Bylot Island; TU12 banded 8/2011; 55AE banded 5/2007
Ile-aux-Oies, Quebec; PH27 banded 8/2007 Bylot Island; MK26 banded 8/2005
Bylot Island; 41CE banded 5/2009 Ile-aux-Oies, Quebec.
Snow Goose PA42 was originally banded in 2003 with collar KP13.
The 8 banded geese that Jeff Culler and I saw were different from the 3
banded geese I saw last week. There were a couple of additional collars
that we could not read.

After Hurlock we went to Linkwood looking for the Greater White-fronted
Goose but there we only decoys, a hunter, and his dog.

Earlier in the day we had two Gadwalls in the quarry south of Goldsboro
along Rt 313.

Here is a link to a picture of the Dickcissel that we had along Dean Rd,
Ridgley, MD.
