I was at the pond next to People's Plaza on Rt. 40 in Glasgow, DE, this
afternoon, and saw an unusual goose that I think is a hybrid: Canada crossed
with who knows what. It was a bit larger than the Canadas and had a lot of
white stippling on its neck. The sides of its face and forehead were
completely white, the bill was dark, and the legs were a light
pinkish-orangy-tan. The body plumage looked like that of a Canada, except
that the belly to undertail area seemed a brighter white.

If anyone wants to see it, the pond is directly behind the Friendly's and
Burger King parking lots. Glasgow is just across the MD-DE state line near
Cecil County. A man was feeding the geese (I'll bet Friendly's was not very
happy about that) so I expect it might stick around for a while.
