I've had 4 Chipping Sparrows at the feeders today also mixed in with the many juncos.

Today (1/22) I saw a Merlin perched in the top of a tree at the intersection of 
arriottsville Road and Warwick Way.  I had good views with binoculars and 
elescope of the barred tail and dark streaky breast.  The Merlin left its perch 
nd flew towards the Alpha Ridge landfill.  There were approximately 6 Chipping 
parrows along Old Frederick Road about a half mile west of Underwood Road mixed 
n with a flock of juncos.
