Well, I decided to cancel the Ocean City trip early yesterday morning. The roads up this way were very hazardous. I did a little birding around the North East River area instead, but soon after I started I ended up getting called into work.
Highlights for me were all 3 species of Merganser, 1 lone Canvasback in Charlestown, and 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull which was in North East Town Park. There was a low number of Gulls, however the number was really high up at the Landfill. So they just didn't make it down to the drinking hole in the time I was at the park.
The day of or after it snows I can rely on American Pipit in the driveway of a Farm on Lombard Road in Northern Cecil County. Sure enough, I went plowing through and chased up a small flock of Horned Larks and Pipits mixed together. I am 5 for 5 on this driveway over the past 3 years during and or after a snow event.
