Morning all,
I took a leisurely walk around the yard with our aging dog. Lots of activity in our back field; lots of E. Bluebirds, some landing on the box in the field with a male doing the wing-wave display to the female sitting next to him (never too early for a little courtship!), lots of (relatively speaking for this winter) A. Goldfinches, House Finches, and juncos, as well as a nice sized flock (about 2 dozen) of Chipping Sparrows all flying into and out of the field, feeding on the edges of the grass, etc. And several A. Robins flying about and landing in our trees as well. Chickadees and titmouses singing!

Chickweed and dandelions blooming, and daffodils pushing up all over too. I think the groundhog will be wrong this year!
