I was taking pictures of a cooperative kingfisher on Seneca Creek when a nearby dipping tail caught my attention. This is the earliest I have seen an eastern phoebe in Montgomery Co. The groundhog may be wrong again.
On the river also saw an immature bald eagle, 4 pied-billed grebes, at least 11 bufflehead, 4 N pintail, and a ring-necked duck.
