The most noteworthy birds of the winter count yesterday were the ducks at Race Rd. 6 Gadwall, 3 Shovelers, 2 Pintail and 3 Hooded Mergansers. A single Chipping sparrow at Rockburn. Feeling somewhat sparrow deprived I went to the Howard Conservancy this morning and found a little flock of Savannahs on the upper hill by the lone tree. http://flic.kr/p/boYgFx A single American Tree was with them.
