The highlight of my lunchhour walk at Oxbow Lake was a Peregrin Falcon.

Protocol: Traveling

Comments: Valentine's Day Conditions: 52.9 °F, Clear, Humidity: 43%, Wind:
Calm, Visibility: 10.0 miles, Dew Point: 31 °F, Precipitation: 32% Chance of
Rain, Pressure: 29.85 in, UV: 5. Highlight was a Peregrin Falcon. First sighted
perched on the Egret Tree waiting for the right opportunity to make its aerial
assault. Watched as it took flight, got the whole flock of Ring-billed Gull up,
and came screaming over my head in pursuit. As I walked along the area we call
the fishing hole, I noticed where some predator had probably plucked a
Ring-billed Gull for lunch. By measuring the diameter of where the feathers were
tossed, should be able to tell the size of the predator.
