Hey everyone,

Over the past couple days there has been a growing scaup flock on the
Tred Avon River at Oxford. Viewed from the Pier St. Marina parking
lot, the flock consists mainly of Lesser Scaup with a few Greaters
tossed in. I estimate the flock size at about 450 birds. Common
Goldeneyes and Long-tailed Ducks are also loosely associating with the
flock.

At my Mid Atlantic Nature blog, I am happy to let everyone know that
Bill Hubick is the first to guest post on my blog. He has written a
great piece on Assateague and there is even a quiz! Bill and I
encourage everyone to participate. I'll post the answers and the top
three winners Monday evening.

The blog can be viewed at www.midatlanticnature.blogspot.com
