I have been occasionally visiting Kenilworth Park in DC over the past
two weeks to look for American Woodcock in the evening. Last night
(14 Feb) I saw flight displays for the first time this year. Peenting
from 1 to 3 woodcock started at 6:04pm, with flight displays starting
at about 6:10pm . The whole show was over at 6:24pm. This area in
Kenilworth Park (adjacent to the Benning Road power station and right
next to an abandoned park restroom) has been reliable for American
Woodcock for the past three years now, at least.

  Good birding,
