Jane Kostenko and I swung through Dunkirk yesterday on a jagged course from Pickering Creek to Fairfax. We arrived at Yellow Bank Road around noon and found Sherman Suter sitting in his car. He said he'd been there since about 8 and was planning on bailing at noon. He had talked with some folks, I believe that Jim Stasz was among them?, and that nobody had seen the bird at all on Saturday. We stopped by again around noon on our way home from Fairfax and there were no geese and no crane to be seen. I'm wondering if anyone tried for the crane today and whether they had any luck?
